we're throwing a party in an old mill in salford this saturday, 29th july, with friends the nightjars, answering machine, neil burrell and slugs ate my parents. then there's a short uk tour which means we'll be playing at a rock n roll venue near you sometime next week... live section or myspace for details

'pep', our second single, will be released in the uk on transgressive records on july 31st. it's coming out on two different seven inches with two b-sides, 'still spinning' and 'headshaker'. we'll be playing a short uk tour around that time too

the sun's been shining round here, and we like it very much. apart from playing football in the park we've been in a local studio re-recording 'pep' for a summer single. the b-side will be a new track, 'headshaker'. more release details shortly

we're playing a live radio session at xfm london on weds april 19th, around 8:30pm. channel m in manchester has also been airing a half hour show of us playing live at manchester academy earlier this year

the nine black alps tour was great - cheers to them, and everyone who came and saw us. we're currently enjoying the company of the brilliant young knives. and it's SXSW soon - we'll be heading over there for a couple of gigs
on sunday night we were one of seven new british bands doing some some talking and dj-ing on radio 1's one world program, celebration of british music, which you can listen to again here

we went down to maida vale studios on monday to play a live session on radio 1, which you can listen to on steve lamacq's website until the end of the week. we've also just confirmed 4 new shows in february with nine black alps. the longcut are also supporting those shows! if anyone fancies designing a special manchester flag for the occasion...
